Super Special Friday Dance!
It’s Friday, which calls for EnVogue! Maybe you’re never gonna get it, maybe you are. Either way, you should get down.
Very special thanks to guest cameraman Shane and to editor extraordinaire Deb.
Getting Literal with Lyrics
Sometimes it’s about the music, sometimes it’s just about the words.
No one was harmed in the making of this video, with the exception of the box I stepped on toward the end. At least I was on the beat.

Seahawks Touchdown Chair Dance
When a first quarter touchdown inspires dancing in a chair, victory isn’t far behind. Go Seahawks!

Post-work, post-recording jam. How can you not?
‘Sno Music?
Snow problem.
Just because you’re in a grocery store…
…doesn’t mean you shouldn’t dance when Mr. Mister comes on.
What’s Going On Here, Exactly?
Nick challenged me to post a dance video five days a week for four months, to see if I could meet or beat his record of silly hat photos. Then, to prove that he was serious, he procured a domain name. So now it’s on like donkey kong.
A few things to keep in mind:
- I am not a professional dancer. (This will be clear to you almost immediately.) I do not claim to have amazing abilities or even a particularly extensive catalog of moves. I’m just doing what I normally do when music comes on, except now someone is occasionally filming it.
- Videos will not be long. Times will vary, but expect 10 seconds to be about average.
- Five videos should be posted each week, which means I’ll likely stick to weekdays, but we’ll see how it goes and may reassess after a couple of weeks. The schedule will probably not be consistent. Much like the best dance moments, flexibility and spontaneity will be key to this endeavor.
- I’m not here to teach anybody anything (except maybe Nick!), so if you’re looking to learn a new move every day, well, there’s gotta be a better place for that somewhere out there on the internet. Go find it!
That’s it for now. Have a dance-worthy day!
